Since many years is Belarus our homeland, its wonderful people shaped us and held us tight.
1978 Helmut, a 27 year old youth, went to the Soviet Union to a place close to Minsk as an employee of a company. There he married Olga on the 23rd of May 1981. Soon afterwards they went to Kazakhstan with the same company. 1984 the three of them (Olga was pregnant in the 7th month) to Bavaria where Jana and Janis were born. 1986, when Jana was 2 years old and Janis just 3 months, they went back to Belarus.
A special place in Helmut's and our hearts took the Baha'i community and the great amount of our wonderful friends.
Deep love we feel for a little place on Earth called Smole.

Our family left a big part of our heart in Belarus. For many years this beautiful country used to be our home, many special moments have shaped us, the desire to share good with the people gave us joy.
The words of Bahà'u'llàh "The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens" have shaped us. The time and the world situation are constantly changing, more and more we see that tolerance and understanding for each other become essential parts of our lives. Serving the Baha'i Faith in Belarus helped us understand Bahà'u'llàh's teachings and implement them in our lives.
