In the beginning of December Helmut went to a job interview to Prague to a company that needed a representative in Belarus to sell some American product. The interview was very positive, but you'll be able to read about that here later.

Carmen, our old friend, stopped by for a visit while traveling southward.

Vanessa and Christine came to Mainz to celebrate Christmas with us. First with the family: Walter and Brigitte, Bernfried and Nadine. Then with our dear friends Irene and Echsan and theyr three sons Djamschid, Sohrab and Iradj.

In January shortly before we were moving to Erfurt Gerd stopped by at our place for a few hours on his journey. It was Gerd and Peter whom Helmut used to have a successful company with. You'll see pictures taken of the three of them in 1989 from an exhibition in Minsk as well as our visit to Gerd's place in Hamburg.
