Baha'u'llah - "The Glory of God"

As Moses for the Jews and Jesus Christ for the Christians, Buddha for the Buddhists and Muhammad for the Moslems, so is Baha'u'llah (Arab. The Glory of God) for the Baha'is. Alike the Manifestations of God before Him, He brought the Word of God to the people according to their stage of development, with suitful goals and priorities. On the 29th of May 1892, Baha'u'llah passed away. His remains were laid to rest in a garden room adjoining the restored mansion, which is known as Bahji. For Baha'is, this spot is the most holy place on earth.

Our family had, with God's bounty, more than ones the opportunity to visit the Bahá’í Holy Places in Haifa for pilgrimage and on other occasions. Helmut went in 1979 to Haifa for three days and in 1980 on a nine-day pilgrimage. During the nine-day pilgrimage Helmut had enough time to pray to God asking Him to send him a wife so that he could have the possibility to stay in Belarus and continue serving Bahá'u'lláh. On the way back to Belarus Helmut had a dream where he saw Olga and heard her name. In 1991 Olga and Helmut were on a nine-day pilgrimage. At that time they had the honor, along with various friends from around the world, to be invited for a dinner at the house of Madame Rabbani, Amatu'l-Bahá Rúhiyyih Khanum. In 1992 all living Knights of Bahá'u'lláh, with Helmut among them, have been invited to participate in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the ascension of Bahá'u'lláh. On 28 May 1992 during the commemoration of the centenary of the ascension of Bahá'u'lláh, the Roll of Honour was deposited by Amatu'l-Bahá Rúhiyyih Khanum at the entrance door of the Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh. In 1998 Olga went with the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Belarus to the eighth International Convention of the Bahá'í Faith for the election of the Universal House of Justice, the international governing body of the worldwide Bahá'í community. In January of 2001 Helmut was at the inauguration of the Seat of the International Teaching Centre. In May of the same year Jana attended with friends from Belarus the ceremony of the opening of the Bahá’í Terraces in Haifa. Our last visit to the Holy Land in March of 2012 was different from all other visits - we had the opportunity of going on a 9 day pilgrimage with our whole family.
