In Dushanbe, the capital of Tadjikistan, there still lived members of early Baha'i families from 60 years ago, even though during those 60 years the believers were persecuted and the religion forbidden. Most of them came from these two families.

Those were very special days. Visiting the National Library the director offered us to speak in front of almost 300 staff members and library visitors about the Baha'i faith and to show our slide shows.

We were also invited to the Ministry of religious affairs, as well as to the mufti of the town who presented us with gifts, we were introduced to the Council of the Elders, etc. Such an open-mindedness and hospitality we met every day.

We celebrated Naw-Ruz with the people in Tajikistan, which is one of the most important celebrations not only for the Baha'is, but also for the people in Central Asia.
