A visit to the biggest Buddha in Europe

Doris, Chirin and Helmut studied Ruhi Books 1 and 2 together. At the end of Book 2 we decided to visit the biggest European Buddha statue and the cathedral of Speyer as a cultural highlight.

Here are some pictures from this trip. It took place 30th of June 2007.

Bali Sculptures (exotic asian culture of living) don't only present an old Indonesian handicraft. The point is rather to convey the philosophy of a foreign land. The sculpture of the coming Buddha "Maitreya", that weighs about 7 tonnes and is 3,50 meters tall and that adorns the new 180 square meters meditation hall, was made on the Indonesian island Java.
