Erfurt - Minsk - Smol'e - Siberia - USA - Budapest

Jayden, Asmaa and Janis are in Erfurt, working on the interior of their flat. Asmaas mom was visiting them for a few months and helped with Jayden. Asmaa is making great progress with her German course. And Jayden is always waiting for a visit from Grandma and Grandpa!

Jana has completed her bachelor's degree. During the free time she had a lot of fun, for example at the seminar "Participating in the Prevalent Discourses of Society", which has been organized by the Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity. In october she will start her master's.

In addition to the work in Minsk, Olga and Helmut enjoy their recreation in the garden and in the nature of Smol'e. In spring both went for a visit to Olga's mother and relatives in east Russia. In summer Helmut attended a conference in the States and visited Baha'i friends in Cleveland, Ohio.

"When someone is searching, then it might easily happen that the only thing his eyes still see is that what he searches for, that he is unable to find anything, to let anything enter his mind, because he always thinks of nothing but the object of his search, because he has a goal, because he is obsessed by the goal. Searching means: having a goal. But finding means: being free, being open, having no goal. You, oh venerable one, are perhaps indeed a searcher, because, striving for your goal, there are many things you don't see, which are directly in front of your eyes".
- Hermann Hesse - Siddhartha

"If we can make a person happier and more serene, we should do it in any case, whether or not he asks us to".
- Hermann Hesse, The Glass Bead Game
